Audi factory tour in Ingolstadt

How I got there: Ingolstadt was just over an hour away from Munich. This was a factory tour stop on our way to Mainz in West Germany. Audi.de

Where I stayed: We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Mainz after a day of travel.

What I did: We took a factory tour of Audi headquarters, then visited the museum and showroom. Make sure to book your tour at least a couple of weeks ahead of time. The tour was even better than expected. We received a great explanation of the Audi facility but the real fun came when we were able to walk the factory floor.

The museum is also worthwhile, lots of history and great cars! There is also a beautiful modern cafe with lots of lunch choices!

In total you could spend about 3-3.5 hours.
